Northwood’s Ring ceremony, “Falcon Banding”, will be held this year on Friday, May 20th, at 6:00 p.m. at the football stadium. At the banding, every junior who has purchased a class ring will be presented that ring by a family member. This is the highlight of the year for juniors at Northwood.

If you would like to be a part of this ceremony, you need to select an older family member to be your presenter (limited to one presenter). This can be your mother, father, grandparent, older brother or sister, cousin, aunt, or uncle. If your presenter is an alumnus of Northwood High School, we would like to acknowledge this during the ceremony.

During the ceremony, all juniors will be lined up on the track on the home side by the concession stand. Presenters will be on the track by the visitors’ locker room. As your name is called, you will walk through the ring, and receive your ring. After you have received your ring, you and your presenter will be seated in a reserved section of the stadium.

In order for this occasion to be special, we ask that both you and your presenter dress –Girls-“dressy casual – be mindful of dress length. NO spaghetti straps, NO strapless, NO transparent tops, and NO shorts. For males, this can be a suit and tie, or dress shirt and tie, slacks, or chinos. PLEASE NO JEANS! No flip flops. Also, we ask you and your family to appreciate the significance of this ceremony to display appropriate behavior and in addition to not leave the stadium once you have received your ring.

If you would like to be a part of the program, this is what we need you to do: Fill out the form below, detach the form, and return to Mrs. Mitchell in the attendance office by Thursday, May 12th. This is the very last day we will accept forms due to preparation of the programs to be printed. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR FORM BY THURSDAY, May 12th, WE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE IN THE PROGRAM.

You will bring your ring with you.

The night of the program, seniors and presenters will meet in the visitor’s side @ 5:15 p.m. Guests may enter the home side of the stadium at 5:30.

If you have any questions, contact one of us or a member of the Ring Staff.
